Celebrating with Village of Hope

Happy 10th Birthday Village of Hope!

It's hard to believe 10 years have gone by since Village of Hope began. 2007 was a leap of faith, jumping off a cliff with no parachute, for Rose (our National Director) and me. All we KNEW is that these orphans, children of war, needed HELP and that God called us to do whatever it took. I couldn't NOT help. The eyes of every child I saw haunted my dreams.

As I shared the story in the U.S. people, like you, gave. I would send Rose an email, "$100 came in this month. How many children can we feed?" or "Rose, $500 came in this month, how many orphans can we feed?"

She always managed to stretch every cent. Dollar by dollar, orphan by orphan...the little that came in God multiplied.

Today, we have 450 children living at our two Villages: safe, loved, eating all they want, attending elementary, high school and vocational training, getting medical care, receiving trauma counseling and more. Yet, we have 300 orphans still waiting to come to the Village. They are receiving food, clothes and an education, but they are not safe.

Your gift will help us provide for these children - those in the Villages and those waiting to come. 100% of your gifts designated for the care of our children will go to directly to Uganda! Thank YOU for being a part of HIS miracle in the lives of hundreds of children in Northern Uganda. -- Cindy Cunningham and Rose Aber, National Director
